About Peachtree Webs

Personal

This site is developed, authored and hosted on vps servers by me, Bob Timms. Although I haven't been strictly a web professional, I've been working with the web and other interactive media since 1996 as one of my primary job responsibilities in sales and marketing. I started Peachtree Webs after a long career in the semiconductor and embedded systems industry. My job assignments began as a field application engineer with Zilog and progressed through various positions in field sales and marketing management. More experience details can be found here.

Technology

This site is built on a solid foundation of valid XHTML 1.0 Strict styled with CSS. In case you are using a tool like the HTML validator extension it may display a whole bunch of warnings at times. Those warnings are caused by the invalid code inserted by things like RSS newsfeed potentially Google AdSense, and am working to correct this. If you check any page on this site with the W3C HTML Validator there should be no errors.

A modern web browser like Firefox, Safari or Opera is needed to make the most out of this site, but thanks to the separation of content and presentation it should be accessible to any browsing device, including Internet Explorer.

Hosting

The majority of sites I develop, including this one is currently hosted by me on a vps located on a Class I data center in Atlanta.
